About Winsome Star Havanese

Havanese are small, spirited dogs, bred to be lap dogs and affectionate family pets. Also called Havana Silk Dog, the breed is the national dog of Cuba, and thought to be the only breed native to the island. 

They are sturdy dogs, with gregarious temperaments and big personalities. They are also shed-free and hypoallergenic. Formerly bred to be circus performers, Havanese now make wonderful therapy dogs or ideal playmates.

Winsome Star Havanese are located in the heart of St. Louis, MO. We have been breeding Havanese and Havanese-hybrids for many years (as well as multiple other dog breeds.)

We are dedicated to raising winsome puppies: puppies that are attractive, charming, and delightful. We are very serious about creating a healthy, loving environment to raise healthy, loving dogs.

We select our sires and dams carefully--based on health, temperament, structure, and cuteness--so they breed quality family pets.
